Biography
Dr Lutfi is the Chief of Metabolic Surgery and Fellowship Director at Advocate Illinois Masonic Hospital.
He is the President and CEO of the Chicago Institute of Advanced Surgery. Dr Lutfi earned his medical degree from Damascus University, and completed his general surgery residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago followed by a Research then Clinical Fellowship in Foregut and Bariatric Surgery at Vanderbilt University.
Dr Lutfi is an Executive Board Member of the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS) and the Past President of the Illinois Chapter of ASMBS and ASMBS Foundation.
